Magnet designation is the highest honor a nursing program can attain. A Magnet hospital is one where nursing delivers excellent patient outcomes and have a high level of job satisfaction. Magnet nursing leaders value staff nurses' input in shaping research-based nursing practice, and encourage them to advance their nursing practice.
