Bariatric Surgery Program Psychiatrist
After medical school, Dr. Geoffrey Phillips chose to specialize in adult psychiatry. He is board certified in psychiatry and addiction medicine.
Dr. Phillips received his medical degree from the University of California, Irvine in 2001. He is the St. Joseph Hospital Bariatric Care Center’s program psychiatrist. He has also served as the medical director for the Chemical Dependency Program at St. Joseph Hospital.
In addition, he obtained certification in cognitive therapy from Beck Institute in Philadelphia and is a certified affiliate member in the Academy of Cognitive Therapy. He leads small groups and participates in the St. Joseph Hospital Bariatric Care Center’s support groups.
