From diagnosis to treatment, the St. Joseph Hospital Comprehensive Breast Center offers a variety of services for patients at every stage of care.
We have several advanced imaging techniques available to detect abnormalities within the breast.
Diagnosis
In the event abnormalities are detected, sometimes additional testing is required to make a diagnosis, such as a biopsy.
Treatment
Once a diagnosis is made, we discuss treatment options with the patient. Treatment options may include chemotherapy, radiation therapy, surgery and innovative treatment options available through clinical trials.
Support & Integrative Care
We offer support groups and educational opportunities to all Orange County women covering topics from risk reduction to coping with a cancer diagnosis. Counseling and spiritual care services are also provided along with a Wellness Center where patients can relax with massage, reflexology and other holistic treatments.
Cancer Risk Management
For women with a family history or genetic risk factors, St. Joseph Hospital provides a hereditary risk consultation program to help these women beat the odds. Genetic counseling, testing and prevention strategies are recommended as appropriate for each patient. |
