Sinus Problems

Sinus disorders affect nearly 50 million Americans annually, resulting in loss of productivity and needless suffering from chronic facial pain and pressure, drainage, sore throat and cough, congestion, sinus infections, loss of taste and smell and bad breath. While some people find relief from over-the-counter medications, many no longer respond to these common remedies.

The St. Joseph Hospital Nasal & Sinus Center specializes in the medical and surgical treatment of all nasal and sinus disorders. A multidisciplinary team of experts utilizing advanced digital video, computers, and endoscopic technology sets up apart. If you have problems breathing through your nose, experience pressure headaches over the eyes and forehead, have an excessively runny nose, or have ever sustained a serious injury to your nose...The St. Joseph Hospital Nasal & Sinus Center can help you, too!

Problems with the your sinuses can produce a wide variety of symptoms — some significant and others minor, but annoying. Major symptoms of sinus disease include facial pain and pressure, discolored nasal drainage, and nasal airway obstruction. Sometimes people inherit nasal and sinus problems linked to a common environmental sensitivity or a predisposing anatomical facial structure. Exposure to irritants such as pollution, chemicals, smoke at home, the outdoors, and chemicals or fumes in the workplace may also contribute to increased suffering. A variety of factors from sinusitis to nasal fractures to a deviated septum can necessitate advanced medical treatment.
