| St. Joseph Hospital's Prostate Cancer Program provides state-of-the-art, comprehensive medical care for prostate cancer patients while working to raise awareness in the community in order to encourage early detection through prostate-specific antigen tests and other screening tools. Prostate cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer among men in the United States and the second leading cause of cancer death in men, next to lung cancer. Each year, more than 230,000 men are diagnosed with prostate cancer, and nearly 30,000 die of the disease. |
