This program, administered by the Physical Therapy Department, aims to reduce symptoms, decrease disability, increase participation in physical and social activities and improve overall function for patients with respiratory disease and following lung surgery. Treatment plans include: education on pursed lip breathing techniques; posture awareness; monitoring of blood pressure, pulse, shortness of breath and oxygen saturation with walking; proper body mechanics; aerobic conditioning and a home program. Respiratory Therapy is also offered prior to the Physical Therapy session.

- Lung surgery patients
- Persons who have COPD or other chronic respiratory system diseases
- Interstitial diseases
- Individuals with shortness of breath, cough or increased mucous production
- Those with Neuromuscular diseases
Post Operative Pulmonary Program hours: Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
