Our multidisciplinary team approach means that our medical and therapy specialists are working together, bringing their combined skills and expertise to your plan of care. Our general therapy includes a combination of Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapy to aid patients in maintaining or recovering physical capabilities after a serious injury or illness. These therapies are offered on both an inpatient and outpatient basis at St. Joseph Hospital.
- Physical Therapy - Physical therapy incorporates exercise and physical activities to condition muscles and restore strength and movement.
- Occupational Therapy - Occupational therapy is skilled treatment to help develop real-life skills for the "job of living" and to achieve as much independence as possible.
- Speech Therapy/Pathology - Speech therapy is the treatment of physical and/or other deficits/ disorders that result in difficulty with verbal communication and swallowing.
In addition, we have developed specialized programs including pelvic floor, lymphedema treatment, hand therapy, neuro and pulmonary rehabilitation.
