The Work Injury/Ergonomics program is administered by skilled Physical and Occupational Therapists who work with patients to ensure a safe and efficient return to work. Treatment plans include specific modalities, procedures, therapeutic exercise and work simulation activities, with the goal of reducing pain, building functional strength and preventing re-injury. This is achieved through education of proper body mechanics and safe ergonomic practices.
Industrial Rehabilitation 
For over a decade, St. Joseph Hospital Outpatient Rehabilitation Services has assisted employers in reducing work-related injuries through education, screening and ergonomics. When an injury occurrs, Industrial Rehabilitation Therapists help the employee return to work as quickly and safely as possible. The Industrial Rehabilitation Program offers a wide range of services including:
- Post offer/pre-placement and return-to-work screenings
- Job site analysis
- Job description preparation
- Ergonomic worksite assessments
- Prevention, education and fitness programs
- Functional Capacity Evaluations
