When medication and non-invasive procedures are unable to relieve symptoms, surgery remains the accepted and most effective treatment for a range of gynecologic conditions. These include, but are not limited to, cervical and uterine cancer or pre-cancer, uterine fibroids, endometriosis, uterine prolapse and menorrhagia or excessive bleeding.
Since its introduction about five years ago, robotic surgery has rapidly gained credibility as the most effective and least invasive surgical option for many gynecological patients. Along with minimizing pain and recovery time, robotic surgery is considered as safe as, or safer, than conventional approaches.
