The Breast Program takes a comprehensive and individualized approach with each patient we serve.
To achieve the best possible patient outcomes our Breast Program holds interdisciplinary treatment management conferences each week. Participants include expert breast surgeons, medical and radiation oncologists, pathologists, radiologists, nursing and research staff. As a team, these specialists evaluate and provide treatment recommendations for newly diagnosed breast patients.
The Breast Program also utilizes the most recent medical developments and clinical trials. Our survival rates are considerably higher than the state and national average. We continually incorporate the most up-to-date, state-of-the-art, evidence-based practice into our treatment plans. Using evidence-based medical and surgical methods, our healthcare professionals strive for the best outcomes. We also utilize the National Cancer Center Network (NCCN) guidelines when planning treatment. However, each patient’s treatment plan is designed to meet the individual needs of the patient and family.
