Genetics

Anyone concerned about a personal and/or family history of cancer can benefit from a hereditary cancer risk evaluation, especially individuals with a personal and/or family history of:
  • Breast cancer diagnosed under age 50
  • Male breast cancer at any age
  • Two or more separate breast cancers
  • Breast and ovarian cancer in the same woman or in close relatives
  • Two or more close relatives with breast cancer
  • Ashkenazi Jewish ancestry and breast or ovarian cancer at any age
  • Clustering of early onset breast cancer, bone or soft tissue cancer, sarcoma, aderenocortical carcinoma, brain cancer, and/or early onset leukemia
