Support Groups

The Breast Program is dedicated to helping Orange County women stay informed about breast cancer, as well as providing support for those affected by a cancer diagnosis. To do this, our services go beyond screening and treatment to also include Support and Integrative Care. We offer support groups and education to all Orange County women and their loved ones covering topics from risk reduction to coping with cancer.

Counseling Services
We recognize that support is an integral part of the healing process for both patients and their families. For that reason, our team includes a dedicated clinical social worker who offers 30 and 60-minute sessions of listening, caring and assistance. This assistance can include informing patients during financial decisions and referring patients to outside resources for specialty items needed during treatment and healing. In addition, our clinical social worker assists patients and their families in coping with cancer. Treatment focuses on relieving anxiety, fear, depression and grief while boosting self-esteem. Individual and family relationships are also supported.

Spiritual Care
Our Spiritual Care services include a dedicated chaplain, as well as interfaith clergy who offer holistic ministry that allow patients and family to sharing feelings and concerns. Spiritual Care staff are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and can assist with any ethical or emotional issues that may arise during diagnosis and treatment.

Integrative Care
Treating the whole patient is a vital part of our approach to health care. We offer services that help our patients feel better emotionally and physically-as well as recover more quickly. At our Wellness Center, we offer such therapeutic wellness options as massage, reflexology, thermal heat wraps, aromatherapy and hot stone therapy.

Community Outreach
Through our Community Education Department, we offer a number of workshops to help women learn more about breast health, breast cancer risk and other women's health concerns.
