Participating in a support group where you can share information and feelings with other head and neck cancer patients can be an important part of the process of healing and improving your quality of life. The following are some support groups that meet at or near St. Joseph Hospital .
“Entre Amigos” Cancer Support Group en Espaňol – Held on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of every month from 7 – 8:30 p.m. at St. Joseph Hospital, Meeting Rooms A & B (hospital basement), Orange. For more information, contact Noemi Vidal at (714) 771-8000 ext. 13359.

“In Your Shoes” (Family of Cancer Survivors) – This program is for newly diagnosed patients going through the journey of cancer who would like to be connected to someone who has already walked in their shoes. Held at The Center for Cancer Prevention and Treatment at St. Joseph Hospital, 1000 W. La Veta Ave., Orange. Look Good…Feel Better Program
A free program for women receiving chemotherapy or radiation treatments that teaches make-up, hair styling and skin care techniques, to help deal with appearance changes that may occur.
Session in English:
1st Monday of each even month: October 5th and December 7th

Spiritual Care
St. Joseph Hospital is dedicated to addressing the needs of the whole person—body, mind and spirit—so our patients also receive assistance from licensed clinical social workers. In addition, pastoral care is offered to help you and your family address emotional, spiritual and ethical concerns. Spiritual Care Services are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at and include:
- Prayer
- Individual and family spiritual counseling
- Staff support
- Spiritual counseling for death and bereavement
- Grief counseling
- Crisis intervention
- Support for anxiety and emotional issues surrounding a new diagnosis and/or treatment
- Answers to questions relating to God and faith
- Sacramental ministry and other rituals
- Bioethical interventions
