Cancer Research

St. Joseph Hospital performs more clinical trials than any other community hospital in Orange County. And, continued advances in cancer care and prevention are the direct result of participation in clinical trials. National evidence from a wide range of studies suggests that cancer patients diagnosed and treated in a setting of multi-specialty care and clinical research may live longer and have a better quality of life.

The Cancer Research Program at St. Joseph Hospital is a comprehensive program comprised of full-time research professionals who review potential trials for future St. Joseph Hospital patients as well as newly implemented trials for eduction and recruitment initiation. Clinical trials come from a variety of sources including sponsorship by the National Cancer Institute, pharmaceutical/biotech industry or physician-initiated research.

See the left navigation bar for more information on cancer research or click here to search our clinical trials database.
