St. Joseph Hospital Annual Golf Tournament
benefitted the Structural Heart Disease Program

St. Joseph Hospital hosted it's 31st Annual Golf Tournament at the Pelican Hill Golf Club in Newport Beach on April 18, 2016. Proceeds from the event directly supported the Structural Heart Disease Program which concentrates on correcting congential and serious heart conditions that have traditionally required open-heart surgery using minimally invasive techniques. Participants enjoyed 18 rounds of golf, a golf cart rental, continental breakfast, on-course refreshments, lunch, merchandise store credit, a raffle drawing and an awards dinner.

The Structural Heart Disease program, a part of the new Innovating for a Healthier Community comprehensive campaign is an important priority for the hospital as well as the community. Patients who wouldn't be able to tolerate open-heart surgery can be successfully treated utilizing cather based technology. The program also includes a full multi-disciplinary team with minimally invasive technologies which lead to better outcomes for patients undergoing treatment.
