Investing in a Healthy Tomorrow
St. Joseph Hospital has launched Investing In A Healthy Tomorrow a $100M comprehensive fundraising effort. This multi-year campaign provides funds for new technology and growth of key programs. With your help we can to support the "margin of excellence" at St. Joseph Hospital.
Emergency Care Center Philanthropic Goal: $2M
(Phases 1&2 focus on triage and patient flow improvements)
The Emergency Care Center will provide a comprehensive and coordinated approach to emergency services allowing us to deliver more efficient care to best meet the needs of our patients and families. The project will focus on triage and patient flow with the goal of enhancing the emergency department visit quality, efficiency, and the overall environment.
Cancer Rehabilitation Program Philanthropic Goal: $1M
Funds for this priority allow us to build out existing space in the Center for Cancer Prevention and Treatment and provide rehabilitation equipment and programs to benefit cancer patients. Specially trained medical staff will create individual treatment plans to help patients increase endurance and strength and reduce cancer related fatigue throughout their treatment.
Positron Emission Tomography/computed tomography
Philanthropic Goal: $3M
Combines two scan techniques in one exam - a PET scan and a CT scan. The PET/CT is mainly used for diagnosis, staging or restaging and evaluation of treatment response purposes. The two procedures together provide information about the location, nature of and the extent of the tumor. The PET CT helps clinicians answer questions related to the size, location, type of tumor, and reaction to treatment.
Nursing Excellence Fund Philanthropic Goal: TBD.
St. Joseph Hospital has twice been designated a Magnet® Hospital by the American Nurses' Credentialing Center, which is the highest mark of excellence any hospital's nursing service can achieve. Charitable support of the Nursing Excellence Fund ensures that St. Joseph Hospital nurses continue to be attentive to their professional development by providing them with educational opportunities to enhance their critical skills and empowering them to apply evidence-based practices to patient care.
