For three years running, St. Joseph Hospital has been named an "America's Best Hospital" for Orthopedic care by U.S.News & World Report. The latest announcement was published in the August 2009 issue. St. Joseph Hospital is once again the only Orange County hospital listed for Orthopedics, and one of six hospitals in California. Nearly 5,000 hospitals nationwide were surveyed, but only 50 hospitals per specialty were chosen. The exclusive ranking is based on a reputation reported by specialists, mortality index, patient safety and "care-related factors" such as nurse staffing and technology. |
