Diagnosis

ED can be an early warning sign of a more serious illness, such as heart disease, high blood pressure or diabetes. That's why it's important to find of a highly skilled physician who can diagnosis and treat ED.

Diagnosis involves:

• Obtaining a complete medical/sexual history.
• Physical examination to look for circulatory, nervous and endocrine problems.
• Lab tests, which can include blood counts, urinalysis, lipid profile, and measurements of creatinine and liver enzymes. If low sexual desire is a symptom, testosterone levels will be tested to diagnosis possible endocrine system issues.
