Upper Extremity Therapy Program

Following a comprehensive evaluation, certified hand therapists are capable of providing rehabilitation services for a broad spectrum of conditions, including highly complex cases.

• Edema/swelling control
• Acute wound care and scar management
• Fitting of appropriate pressure garments and edema control techniques
• Graded therapeutic exercise and activity to improve motion, strength and functional use
• Therapeutic modalities to assist in the control of pain and inflammation
• Desensitization program to alleviate nerve hypersensitivity and promote function
• Custom fitting and fabrication of splints, as well as Silver Ring splints for arthritic fingers
