About Eric W. Lee

Dr. Lee was born and raised in Upstate New York where he earned all-state honors in tennis and soccer. He then moved west for college and graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Stanford University.

Dr. Lee earned his medical degree and completed his residency in Orthopedic surgery at the University of California at San Francisco. After completing his fellowship with noted knee specialists Dr. Lonnie Paulos and Tom Rosenberg in Salt Lake City, Utah and renowned shoulder specialist Dr. Buddy Savoie in Jackson, Mississippi, he began practicing in Orange County in 2002.

He has been honored multiple times as a Physician of Excellence by the Orange County Medical Association and has led the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at St. Joseph Hospital as the section chair. Dr. Lee holds a Subspecialty board certification in Orthopedic Sports Medicine for diagnosis and treatment of sports-related injuries and specializes in arthroscopic and open treatment of knee and shoulder pathology such as meniscus and ligament injury, osteochondral lesions, arthritis, labral tears, shoulder instability, and rotator cuff tears. He is an experienced teacher/ lecturer in musculoskeletal ultrasound and ultrasound-guided injections.

He is also at the forefront of orthobiologic non-operative interventions such as platelet rich plasma (PRP) and stem cell injections. Since 2002, he has volunteered and covered the sports programs for Orange High School and Villa Park High School.
