Chuan-Ju Gwendolyn Pan, MD (Gwen Pan) is a specialist in Cancer and Blood
Disorders. Dr. Pan is born and raised in Taiwan, and came to the U.S.
for college. She graduated from UCLA with highest honors in Chemistry
and Biochemistry, and received her MD degree from the University of Vermont
in Burlington, Vermont. Dr. Pan then came back to California for her Internal
Medicine Residency and Hematology/Oncology Fellowship at the University
of California Irvine Medical Center. She is fluent in English, Mandarin
Chinese, and Taiwanese. Dr. Pan's clinical interests focus on individualized
treatments of cancers and blood diseases. Dr. Pan aims for the best patient
care by implementing the latest scientific discoveries and treatment options
available and utilizing multidisciplinary approaches. Dr. Pan's research
interests include finding indicators and tests for early detection of
cancer, especially in the high-risk population. Dr. Pan has numerous publications
in peer-reviewed journals, and has served as an ad hoc reviewer for the
journal Cancer. Dr. Pan is a diplomat of American Board of Internal Medicine,
and is an active member in many professional societies and charity organizations.
