Emergency Department stands ready to help, 24 hours a day, seven days
a week, 365 days a year.
Located in the heart of Orange County, CA, and providing the highest quality
of emergency care, St. Joseph Hospital has become the busiest Emergency
Department in Orange County and the second busiest ER in California. Last
year alone we served more than 101,000 patients.
St. Joseph Hospital’s Emergency Department is a designated
Cardiovascular Receiving Center and Stroke-Neurology Receiving Center. We provide a 53-bed ER, dedicated
laboratory and two radiology suites, as well as nearby services such as
Cath Labs, Surgical Services, CT scanner and MRI and Behavioral Health
Our emergency care specialists include 21 physicians board-certified in
Emergency Medicine, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, emergency-trained
RNs, LVNs and patient care techs, child life specialists, a chaplain,
clinical educator, clinical coordinators, case managers, interpreter,
transport tech and clerical professionals.
We provide a Triage area where patients can be quickly assessed, with the
most critical cases seen first. Our goal is to stabilize your condition
and provide excellent, prompt emergency treatment.
