Our new families need rest and quiet time together. To honor this special
need, we ask that visitors observe
no visiting hours from 2 to 4 p.m. each day. This quiet time provides new families with peaceful moments as they get
to know their newest family member.
Helping your baby transition to life outside the womb is important. That’s
why we practice uninterrupted skin-to-skin, bare-chest-to-bare-chest with
mom as soon as possible after baby’s birth. Research shows that
this contact helps baby regulate his temperature, breathing and heart
rate, which decreases stress during the transition.
