Quiet Time

Our new families need rest and quiet time together. To honor this special need, we ask that visitors observe no visiting hours from 2 to 4 p.m. each day. This quiet time provides new families with peaceful moments as they get to know their newest family member.

Skin-to-Skin Positioning

Helping your baby transition to life outside the womb is important. That’s why we practice uninterrupted skin-to-skin, bare-chest-to-bare-chest with mom as soon as possible after baby’s birth. Research shows that this contact helps baby regulate his temperature, breathing and heart rate, which decreases stress during the transition.
