Free Oral Cancer Screening

Tuesday, October 24, 2017 from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m

The Center for Cancer Prevention and Treatment at St. Joseph Hospital will be offering free oral cancer screenings to encourage early detection and reduce cancer risk of the lip, mouth, salivary glands, and throat. The risk of oral cavity cancer has been linked to the use of tobacco, including smokeless varieties, chronic infection (HPV-human papilloma virus), frequent and heavy drinking of alcohol and chronic infection and inflammation in the mouth. The screening will be painless and will take 10 minutes. Registration is required as screening availability is limited.
